Bakori district head council says priority attention will be given to afforestation programme through tree planting for environment protection in the district 

The makaman katsina district head of Bakori Alh Garba Tukur Idris Nadabo stated this at kurami when launching a tree planting campaign organised by an association called"kurami Green project"in kurami village in his domain.

The district head said plans are under way for establishment of a Nursery plantation where both the  economic non economic trees will be raised for planting in villages for proper environmental protection against soil degradation.

Alh Garba Tukur Idris Nadabo noted that already the district office has contacted the great Green world in Abuja for the supply of Fifty thousand tree seedlings for the nursery from where the seedlings will be distributed to village heads areas.

The makaman katsina district head of Bakori described tree planting  as best way of protecting the environment from erosions, environmental pollution,global warming and provision of clean fresh  Air for the benefit of mankind.

The mornach thanked kurami Green project for initiating the project and urged other associations to emulate the  effort of the association.

In his remarks the walin makama and grand patron of the "Kurami Green project" said two thousand tree seedlings were provided for planting in Kurami village head area  by the association.

The walin makama Alh Mohammed Tukur said the aim of the tree planting campaign by the association was to contribute significatly in protecting the environment and improving soil fertility among other benefits.

The walin makama assured the district office that more  seedling's will be provided by the association for distribution to people free of charge.

The village head of kurami Alh Bishir Aminu outline some of programmes executed in Kurami during Ramadan where less privileged people we're feed.

He thanked the district head for visiting the area to launched the the programme.He cautioned people in kurami  against iilegal falling down of trees.
